We just finished dinner here at the lovely Hotel Infantado here in Potes, and I have to tell you one more detail from today. For dinner, we split an ensalada mixta, Mallory had the seafood soup and I had baby lamb chops. Yum. Then, for postres, we were reminded of what we had at lunch this afternoon at Hotel de Osos, canónigo, and we simply had to have it again. (A huge bonus when you’re bike touring: you don’t have to worry about eating too much!)
This amazing dessert was described on the Hotel de Oso menu as “meringue and caramel deep in custard”. Don’t you love that? It was truly amazing… Tonight’s wasn’t nearly as good, other than the caramel. Hotel de Oso’s meringue and custard were out of this world. Mallory can’t wait to try making it when we get home!
If you want to try it yourself, here is a recipe I found online.

Wow Papa! That looks delicious! And I love the pictures of the mountains – they remind me of the Ampitheater in Ouray!
Looks like you guys are having an amazing time! Keep up the good work blogging 😉

John.. Thanks for the great posts and photos. But do you really have to show photos of desserts? I’m already jealous, you don’t have to rub it in. Hope your journey continues apace.
